What We Believe
What you belief establishes who you are. As Christians we believe in an unchanging truth revealed in the Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).The Bible teaches us that:
God
- Is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. (Genesis 1&2)
- Eternally exists. (Psalm 93:2)
- Is one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17)
Jesus Christ
- Is the Son of God. (John 1:34)
- Co-equal with the Father. (Colossians 2:9)
- Born of a virgin. (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23)
- Was sinless. (Hebrews 4:15)
- Died on a cross for all our sins. (1 John 2:2)
- Rose from the dead. (Matthew 28:5-10)
- Ascended to Heaven. (Mark 16:19)
- Will return again to reign. (Revelation 19:16)
- Is the only way to have a relationship
with God (John 14:16)
The Holy Spirit
- Co-equal with the Father and the Son. (John 10:30)
- Brings people to Jesus Christ. (John 16:8-11)
- Lives in every Christian. (Ephesians 1:13)
- Guides the Christian in their daily walk and growth.
- Gives every Christian a spiritual gift (1 Corinthians 12)
Human Beings
- Made in the image of God. (Genesis 1:27)
- Were given free will. (Genesis 2:16)
- Are separated from God because of sin. (Isaiah 59:1-2)
Salvation
- Is a free gift that cannot be earned. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
- Is only found through faith in Jesus Christ. (Acts 4:12)
- That our deeds are a reflection of true faith. (James
2:17)
Eternity
- Heaven is the greatest hope. It awaits those who have come to a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. (Revelation 21:1)
- Hell is an eternal separation from God. (Revelation 20:14)
