Dear friend,
We want you to know that you are welcome at First. We just had a great anniversary in September of 2009 to celebrate our seventieth anniversary as a church our sixtieth anniversary for our Academy and the fortieth anniversary of Berean Christian High School that had its origin at our facilities. I am as pastor in April of 2000 and soon it will be ten years that I have been here.
In coming to the church, I was looking for a church filled with PASSION. I wanted to serve with people who love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, and might. I was also looking for people with PERSPECTIVE. The people here realize that we do not live by bread alone but by the Word of God. I also wanted to work with people who know our PURPOSE. We have a desire to be a purpose driven church. Next, I wanted to see a group who was POSITIVE. We have such a great hope. The glass is not half empty! Also, I wanted people who were PEACEMAKERS. We have a job to do for God so we need to be people who have a mind to work together.
And I wanted a church with POTENTIAL. And certainly, this area with its diversity and mobilization was just the spot for this. Lastly, we wanted a ministry that understood that PRESENTATION of truth was important because the language that unites the world is visual. This is the reason we are making use of media and technology.
