Philosophy

First Baptist Preschool is established a s a service to the families and children of the community. This service is based upon a sincere love for children and a desire to help them in their proper development and adjustment in today's world. The preschool complements the values found in a good home by enabling the child to spend a part of his day in a world that is child-size and planned so that he learns to associate with other children of his own age in group activity.

The children are surrounded by a Christian atmosphere of respect and loving appreciation for each person and for the wonders of God's world. Each child is encouraged to progress at his own rate of speed toward enriched experiences, self-discipline and the ability to make choices.

Our aim is to develop the total personality of each child by providing an educational experience of lasting value.

Staff

Each member of the staff is qualified in Early Childhood Education and has met or exceeded state requirements.

Loving and knowledgeable care is provided for each child according to his individual needs and stages of development. Our teachers endeavor to complement and expand the learning of the home by creating a rich environment of learning experiences. Our teachers seek to teach God's truths in their daily curriculum and to share Christ's love throughout the program.

Curriculum

Our preschool offers a well-balanced program involving the "total child". We seek to help each child develop socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

Licensing

First Baptist Preschool is licensed by the State of California Department of Social Services.
