Dr. David F. Miller is the pastor of First Baptist Church of Walnut Creek, California, 23 miles east of San Francisco.
Pastor Miller was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Christian parents and raised in the state of Washington where his father pioneered a church in East Wenatchee, Washington. He married his high school sweetheart, Koyce, and they both attended Western Baptist Bible College, then located in El Cerrito, California.
Later he and Koyce were married and he attended the San Francisco Baptist Theological Seminary in San Francisco. Following graduation, he returned to Western Baptist where he started his teaching career. He took a sabbatical leave and graduated from Grace Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana.
He continued teaching at Western Baptist College, now known as Corban College, for 25 years. In 1974, he started the Valley Baptist Church of Perrydale and remained there as pastor for 17 years. In 1991, he became the president of Western Baptist College where he served until 1999. In 2000, he came to our church at Walnut Creek.
Pastor Miller has taught in a number of countries around the world such as Africa and India. Both he and his wife Koyce have hosted a number of trips to Israel. They have another trip planned for June of 2010. There is still room if you are interested. In recent years, he has been involved with fellow Christians in Korea and will be going back again this year for his seventh visit.
FAMILYDr. Miller has been married to his wife, Koyce, for over 45 years and they have two sons: Scott and Mike. Both have pursued graduate work.

Mike Miller is the head of the Math department at Corban College in Salem Oregon, where he graduated and now serves as the head of the Math Department.
